The Main Idea

You may consider the burning of books as the main idea of Fahrenheit 451, but my group and I think differently.

Angel- The main idea of F451 is that no one said life was going to be easy. Montag think he's happy, when he meet Clarisse she made him question himself and that when Montag's life wasn't easy no more. "Are you happy?" this was the question that changed it all. I want you to do this job all by your lonesome, Montag. Not with kerosene and a match, but piecework, with a flame thrower. Your house, your clean up.", this is hard for Montag because he has to burn his own house.

Pablo- I consider the main idea of Fahrenheit 451 to be that life has many changes ahead for you. In the beginning of the book Guy Montag is a proud fireman "It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed". After the meeting Clarisse he started to question himself and what he does "Do I really love my wife". The end of the story is when the bombs blow up the city and Montag begins his new life.

Jose- The main idea in F451 is that sometimes life isn't fair, because in the book people who like to read have to be running from the law. The people have to run from the law think that life i sent fair and they cant do anything about it. What the government say something has to go it has to go because they have more power than the people that are not the law.
